Goshen Varsity Baseball dropped to 3-6 (1-3 NLC) on a windy night at the hands of the Plymouth Pilgrims. It was a windy night that saw 3 home runs and an 8-4 loss for the RedHawks. Kyan Miller started on the mound for Goshen and took a tough loss going 5.1 innings on the mound allowing 8 runs, only 3 earned runs, while walking 2 and striking out 3 batters. Miller wasn't able to overcome some mistakes by the RedHawk defense that led to some homeruns. Plymouth got the scoring started with a 1st inning 3 run home run after a Goshen error and jumped out to an early 3-0 lead. They scored another run in the 2nd inning to extend the lead to 4-0. Goshen battled back in bottom of the 3rd when Braxton Cline hit his own 3 run homerun to cut the deficit to 4-3. Goshen then tied it up in the 4th inning when Jaxon Miller hit a ground rule double that scored Bray Hoag who led the inning off with a walk. In the top of the 5th Plymouth jumped on the RedHawks for another 4 runs to retake the lead 8-4 and held the score there for the remainder of the game. Jensen Meikle came in on the mound after Plymouth took the lead and allowed 0 runs in 1.2 innings on the mound. The Goshen offense was led by Braxton Cline's home run as well as Quinn Shreiner Landes who had 2 hits, Kyan Miller, Jaxon Miller, and Ryen Diaz each had a hit for the offense as well.
