Varsity Baseball Loses to Mishawaka

The Goshen RedHawks (7-12, 3-7 NLC) dropped another close game to Mishawaka on Monday night by a score of 5-4. Goshen took the lead into the 7th inning and got walked off on a wild pitch to end the game. Quinn Shreiner Landes took a tough loss on the mound. Goshen got the scoring started early in the top of the 1st inning when Kyan Miller drove in Quinn Shreiner Landes with two outs to give the RedHawks an early 1-0 lead. Kyan Miller started on the mound and kept that score until the bottom of the 3rd when Mishawaka was able to plate two runs and take a 2-1 lead. The next inning the RedHawks were able to push 3 runs across on hits from Colton Rapp, Damian Castillo, and Karter Marcum. Jace Hershberger was able to plate one of the RedHawks on a bunt as well. Goshen took a 4-2 lead after the top of the 4th. Mishawaka got one run back in the bottom of the 4fh. Kyan Miller was able to keep that score into the 7th inning. Miller ended the game with 6 innings pitched, 0 earned runs, 3 hits, and 4 strikeouts. Goshen continues NLC play on Wednesday when they host Plymouth at 5:30pm at Phend Field.
