The Goshen varsity baseball team (3-7, 0-3 NLC) had trouble keeping up with Mishawaka in a 13-5 loss on Friday night. Mishawaka jumped out to a 5-0 lead before Goshen could record an out in the first inning and never turned back, scoring in every inning but one on the night. Caelan Miller took the loss for the RedHawks, pitching 2 innings allowing 8 runs on 6 hits and 4 walks. Kaden Witty led the way for the RedHawk offense with 2 RBIs and a double. Damian Castillo had 3 hits on the night while Braxton Cline was able to swipe 2 bases. The RedHawks will travel to Plymouth on Monday in search of their first conference win of the season. That game begins at 5:30pm.
