Goshen High School Athletics

The Goshen varsity boys soccer won the Penn Soccer Invitational after winning both games. In the first game, the Redhawks defeated Fort Wayne Northrop by a score of 4-2. Goals were scored by Yurem Hernandez, Mario Fernandez, Rey Rodriguez, and Ivan Esparza. Assists were provided by Yurem Hernandez (2), Brandon Alvarez, and Andy Guzman Canales. In the second game of the day, the Redhawks beat Chesterton 2-1. Goals were scored by Bentley Medina and Manny Pizana. An assist was provided by Brandon Alvarez. Goshen's record now stands at 9-1-0 (3-1-0 conference). The Redhawks play again on Tuesday at home against Bethany Christian with a start time of 6:00pm. The Goshen boys JV soccer team won both games at the Penn Soccer Invitational. Goshen won the first game 3-1 against Fort Wayne Northrop. The Redhawks then beat Chesterton 2-0. The JV record now stands at 6-2-1. The JV team plays again on Tuesday at Bremen with a 5:30pm start.
