The Goshen RedHawks improved to 10-3 (5-1 NLC) on Friday night with a victory over the Wawasee Warriors in Syracuse by a score of 14-1 in 5 innings. Bryson Wilson pitched a complete game for the RedHawks allowing the 1 run on 2 hits and 2 strikeouts. The RedHawks offense collected 14 runs on the night on 14 hits. All 14 runs were scored in the 3rd inning to take a scoreless tie to a runaway victory. Brycen Eaton led the inning off by reaching on an error, which was followed by 4 straight singles from Spencer Elliott, Braxton Cline, Jensen Meikle, and Jaxon Miller. Later in the inning Braxton Cline and Jensen Meikle also collected back to back triples. After pouring on 14 runs in the 3rd inning the offense had some sporadic hits but with no runs. The biggest hit of the evening came in the top of the 5th inning when senior Maverick Snyder collected his first varsity hit with a single on a line drive to right field. Snyder was stranded at 1st to end the inning. Braxton Cline and Jensen Meikle led the offense with 3 hits and 2 runs each. Cline had 4 RBIs as well. Jaxon Miller had 2 hits to celebrate his 17th birthday to and scored 2 runs with 2 RBIs as well. Spencer Elliott chipped in 2 hits, 2 runs, and 2 RBIs himself to help lead the big offensive night for the RedHawks. Goshen continues their season with a home game on Saturday morning against the Dekalb Barons. That non conference game begins at 11am.
